MIAMI, FL – On Saturday February 6, 2010, 19-year-old Washington D.C. native Ray Rivera was named the 2010 AArrow Sign Spinning World Champion outside the NFL Experience Zone at 7th St. and Ocean Ave. in South Beach, FL. Rivera beat out 31 professional sign spinners, between the ages of 16-24, from across the globe at the annual sign spinning competition that was sponsored by Pollo Tropical®. Rivera received a $1,000 cash prize for first place and now holds the coveted “World’s Best” title. Rivera has been working with AArrow Advertising for two years and has serviced sign spinning campaigns for clients in North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., New York, New Hampshire and Florida. He was named sign spinner of the quarter in the fall of 2008. Rivera is currently working for the Baltimore franchise; placed first in the local competition and worked hard preparing his choreographed routine for this event. "I was the number one sign spinner in Washington D.C. but never thought in less than two years, I would advance to become number one in the world," Rivera said.
